Meet Jayne.

In the industry for over 30 years, privately educated, she went to Art School, travelled the world and partied hard, found hairdressing and carried the party on. Jayne is multi skilled and highly experienced in colour - She led art teams and trained the up and coming, had work printed in magazines and has presented on stage. Her love of hair means she loves a challenge, so precision, visual or creative, she wants it all. You’ll hear her from any room in the building and she’s the girl that you will always find dancing in the kitchen at parties. She’s loud, she’s proud and one things for sure, you’ll come away smiling. Book in with Jayne, you won’t regret it.

LIKES: Big portions, baselines and quality sleep.

DISLIKES: Noisy eaters, litter, bad vibes.

IDOLS: My dad, artists, extreme sport performers and people who I meet daily who have overcome all sorts.

STACEY

Meet Stacey

She's dead nice - sunshine in human form. Stacey comes to us with 17 years experience working in Chester and she loves it! She is the mother of cuteness, that being a three year old called Wilson. When she’s not doing that important job, she’s with us producing beautiful caramel balayages and icy white blondes. Stacey loves to see a client through the whole process and takes real pride in her work. So with her passion for hair, the ability to use an empty wine bottle as a mic (see Christmas party) and that infectious smile, you can sit back and relax, you won’t feel safer in anyone else’s hands.

LIKES: Manners, positive outlooks, children, music, dancing, being kind and mayonnaise

DISLIKES: Spiders, things that don’t work properly football, wasabi and no fake tan.

IDOLS: Lisa Stansfield, Denzel, Will Smith, Gaga and Liam Neeson.

CLAIM TO FAME: She once had a body part photographed for a trashy mag….Not quite what you’re thinking - filthy! - On holiday, she stood on the worlds deadliest fish, almost died and sold the story of how she got the hole in her foot.

Meet Gill.

 Gill joins us with years of experience from working in Australia to teaching in the Uk. She loves to travel and see the world and is fluent in Spanish - Una cerveza porfavor! She loves working with short and textured hair and working with the technicians to create a complete look. One appointment with this classy lady and she will shape you up in no time. You'll also know what new restaurant to eat in, which hotel to stay at, what city to visit next, which album to listen to and when that new Chanel lipstick is out!

LIKES : Food. Espanol. Travel. 70's disco/ Photography and dogs, especially border terriers.

DISLIKES : Jordan and snails.

DAMIEN

Meet Damien.

Thirteen years experience and the coveted Master Colour Award under his belt, people, you are dealing with a pro here. He can foil better than he can play a hand of poker and trust us when we say you don't want to play against this guy for money! His passion for hair doesn't stop there, oh no, he has a flair for barbering too. Want a slick back razor fade? Damien's your man. But ladies don't let his tattoos and body hair scare you, he's a big puppy and a true gent and you are going to love him. We do!

LIKES - BMXing, Poker, gaming and films. Jack Daniels and his one true love, Manchester Utd.

DISLIKES - The Beatles and LFC.

CHELSEY

Meet Chelsey.

This northern lass has over 25 years experience with some of the biggest names in hairdressing. Two gorgeous boys and a teaching role later she is back to show us how it is done! Chelsey is the curl queen though she is great with all types of hair and believes it should be soft, natural and free to move. She's a funky mama who loves music, art and love and light, so sit back and enjoy the ride man....

LIKES - Reiki and chackra healing, nature and anything vintage and of course, music.

DISLIKES - Ignorance

IDOLS - Brandon Boyd, Bob Marley, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and her two boys.

JOLENE 

Meet Jolene.

Founder and co - owner of VAIN. 23 years in the industry, hairdressing is in her blood - her aunt, great grandfather and great great grandfather were all in the trade. After working in salons over the years she soon realised that most had become generic, sterile, factory like environments that lacked creativity and inspiration. So over a cocktail one night VAIN was born. Inspired by everything cinematic, this girl LOVES films. Jolene believes hair should be low maintenance. So soft, effortless, feminine hair is what she does. And she does it well.

LIKES - Movies, Margate, 1950s design, Classic cars, Country music, Tennessee, Vivian Maier and Weegie photographs, Old cinemas, Movie posters and Vinyl records.

DISLIKES - Anton Du Beke.  

IDOLS - Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, Hillary Clinton, Cher.

CLAIM TO FAME - She once served Jean Paul Gaultier two cans of Red Stripe in a club.

RACHEL

Meet Rachel.

Probably belongs to the wrong era, her style is a cross between a 1950s burlesque dancer, a 1960s american housewife and a quaker. This girl can colour. She worked for years down in that big city called London and worked for BIG names like John Frieda, Daniel Galvin and Toni and Guy, then came back up north and worked behind the scenes of some little show called This Morning and now we are lucky enough to have her here with us *smug face*. She can pretty much do anything. You want soft natural colour or something that stands out, not a problem. Not one to become complacent she is now turning her hand to styling ( is there anything she cant do you ask? )

LIKES - music - The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, all folk music,  50s Ska. Withnail and I, Anna Karenina, Frida Kahlo and Vivian Maier, loves seeing art from a womans perspective.

DISLIKES - Boy bands

IDOLS - Marianne Faithfull, Vivien Leigh

SIOBHAN

Meet Siobhan

Co- owner of VAIN. She's done Rita Ora's hair don't you know. 17 years experience and trained to the top at Toni and Guy.  She is the Queen of Balayage and creative colour and one of Keune UK’s educators, traveling the country teaching the science of colour. Most summers you will find her back stage at some of the biggest festivals in the country and its not her first time. She has worked back stage at V Festival and Creamfields the last 11 consecutive years styling the hair of artists such as David Guetta and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

LIKES - Dogs, Manchester United, a glass of fizz and David Attenborough

DISLIKES - Coriander
